KORN Frontman Releases Limited-Edition Solo DVD/CD
February 5, 2011KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has released a limited-edition DVD/CD of his June 16, 2008 solo concert at the Union Chapel, Islington in London, England. There are only 750 numbered digipacks with a CD and DVD available and just 500 numbered box sets. More information can be found at this location.
Davis last week posted three solo songs called "Final Days", "Happiness" and "Medicate" to his official Soundcloud account, where he's also posted a series of remixes and partial mixes. The new songs are all in demo form and are presumably slated to appear on Davis' long-in-the-works solo debut, which he has been working on for several years and plans to release through Warner Bros. Records.
Davis told The Pulse Of Radio recently how he's feeling about his solo album and where things stand with it. "Great, man," he said. "I mean, I got all these songs done, it's just I've been doing, I'm really busy with KORN right now. I'm just waiting to see what they want me to do at the label. I'm on Warner Bros., so some changes happened over there so I'm waiting to see exactly what I'm gonna do. When I have some time and KORN's not doing anything, I'm gonna try and release this solo record and go tour on that because I had a blast a couple of years ago doing that."
Davis told The Pulse Of Radio in a 2009 interview that he wanted his debut solo effort to be "a very artistic, crazy album that no one's ever heard before. 'Cause it's very world music-y and dark, heavy, PETER GABRIEL-esque type music and I want all the songs to be different, and nothing like KORN."
KORN and DISTURBED are currently co-headlining the "Music As A Weapon V" tour.
Following the first leg's wrap-up on February 12 in Lubbock, Texas, the trek will resume four weeks later on March 8 in Belton, Texas.
